NEW Cunard extends pause of operations until May 15, 2020 (issued 3/30)

Since our last update, the COVID-19 situation has changed rapidly and continues to affect all of us and our everyday lives, including the introduction of significant travel restrictions around the world. Everyone here at Cunard is aware of the need to support the further containment of COVID-19 globally. This of course includes protecting the health and safety of our guests and crew. In light of the recent government announcements it is clear that the original date of April 11 to resume sailings, is not feasible. Regrettably, therefore, we are now extending this pause to all sailings up to and including May 15, 2020. There is no requirement for you to take any action for your customer’s bookings in relation to this extended pause in operations. Below you will find the corresponding press release detailing our decision, as well as FAQs to assist you in dealing with your clients.  

 

Cunard implements an enhanced cancellation policy for sailings through July 31, 2020 (issued 3/12).  Additionally, we have implemented an interim cancellation policy for all guests with bookings departing through July 31, 2020, providing ultimate flexibility. All guests with existing and new bookings on cruises departing before July 31, 2020 may now cancel up to 48 hours prior to

NEW final payment and cancelation fee policy on cruises sailing July 1, 2020 through September 30, 2020 (issued 3/24). Enjoy greater flexibility! We have now updated the Cunard Final Payment due date, reducing it from 120 days to 60 days prior to sailing. This change applies to new and existing bookings on cruises booked in North America.

 

This new policy is applicable to all voyages that are between 120 and 200 days out, or up to end of September 2020. 

  1. Cancellation Fee schedule will be as follows: 
  • 59 to 31 Days to sail      50% of net fare (from 031 to 060  50%, only 1 day difference)
  • 30 to 15 Days to sail      75% of net fare  (no change in current policy)
  • 14 to 00 Days to sail      100% of net fare (no change in current policy)
