Statement regarding U.S. Department of State Worldwide Travel Caution

July 2, 2018 — The U.S. Department of State has issued a Worldwide Caution update, and continually posts Travel Alerts and Warnings on its Travel Advisories page. The State Department advises that U.S. citizens should exercise vigilance when in public places or using transportation, be aware of their immediate surroundings, and avoid large crowds or crowded places. Since the Worldwide Caution identifies multiple locations throughout the world, U.S. citizens are strongly encouraged to maintain a high level of vigilance and take appropriate steps to increase their security awareness when traveling. To better prepare for possible emergencies, the State Department strongly encourages U.S. citizens to read Country Specific Information pages, Travel Warnings, and Travel Alerts on travel.state.gov before planning a trip. These suggested actions are the same common-sense measures we recommend to all our guests when travelling

The safety and security of our guests and crew is our highest priority therefore our security department, staffed with former military, intelligence and law enforcement professionals, maintains close contact with governmental authorities, local law enforcement agencies and private sources for security assessments and information and continues to monitor these alerts worldwide.

We will advise guests and our travel consultant partners should the need arise to make changes to any of our published itineraries.
